Within The Activities Of The World Government Summit 2023 The Experience Of The Cyber Security Council In A Panel Discussion At The Arab Public Administration Forum: “Before The Attack: Cyber Security In The Digital Age”
The Arab public administration forum was inaugurated by Ahmed Aboul Gheit, The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, on Tuesday, February 14 in its second edition under the slogan " Digital government transformation", where the forum was organized in cooperation between the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Administrative Development Organization in the League of Arab States, and the forum aims to create an Arab movement in government administration and the development of government systems and services, and was held within the activities of the World Government Summit hosted by Dubai in Madinat Jumeirah from February 13 to 15 and formed as an International platform to anticipate all that is new in the field of the future of governments.
The panel discussion was held under the title “Before the Attack: Cyber Security in the Digital Age”, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti, Head of the Cyber Security Council of the UAE Government, H.E. Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, CEO of the National Cyber Security Center in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and H.E.Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hafez, Chair of the Executive Bureau of The Egyptian Supreme Cybersecurity Council, Arab Republic of Egypt with interviewer Maysa AlQalla from CNBC Arabia and touched the current situation of cyber security in the Arab world and the threats faced by governments and institutions in this era and how to address these threats more effectively by increasing cyber culture for all societies have and strengthen partnerships between the government, private sectors, and global partnerships, and build effective strategies in the cyber security field and adopt appropriate policies and procedures and plan for a secure digital future for all.
In the same context, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti stressed the importance of cyber security in the process of digital transformation and that it constitutes the important basis, and discussed the importance of upgrading government services to serve societies and enhance the readiness and flexibility of future governments for the next stage of development to face all cyber threats, as well as his excellency highlighted the UAE's pioneering experience in the field of cyber security and digital transformation.
