The Cyber Security Council signed a memorandum of understanding with Mastercard to strengthen trust in the nation’s digital ecosystem. Through this collaboration, both entities will work together to advance cybersecurity resilience by sharing global best practices and supporting the development of forward-looking cybersecurity policies. 

The partnership was announced on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2026 in Dubai, where the two entities also launched a joint report on the current state of the country’s cybersecurity landscape. The report outlined the risks posed by cyber threats and highlighted how the UAE’s rapid digital transformation has reinforced the country’s position as a global hub for innovation, while also drawing attention to ongoing national initiatives aimed at building a more secure and resilient digital future. 

This collaboration with the Cyber Security Council will enable Mastercard to apply its extensive expertise in combating cybercrime and digital fraud, further supporting the UAE’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
