Participation of the Cyber Security Council in the GISEC 2023

The UAE Government's Cyber Security Council participated in GISEC 2023, which is specialized in presenting the latest developments in cyber security and discussing future trends in the cyber field, from 14 to 16 March at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

During the exhibition, the Cyber Security Council organized cyber exercises and workshops on the Hack 360 platform, where the exercises aimed to enhance technical skills to simulate real-life cyber-attacks, such as the Cyber Future Leaders, Cyber bullying, Internet Addiction and others, in addition to workshops with prominent figures in the cyber field to Effective ICS/OT Tabletop Exercise Design and Facilitation, Building the Cyber Fusion Center of the Future, Cyber Security Leadership, and Leveraging the 5 ICS critical controls to improve your organization's security strategy.

The Council also organized several events and activities as part of the Cyber Pulse program which was launched by the Council to raise national awareness of cyber threats and risks.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Council signed cooperation agreements with the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Hungary, ISC2, the Emirates Safer Internet Society and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the field of cybersecurity, in the aim to unifying efforts to enhance digital security capabilities and build global capabilities able of dealing with all types of incidents and threats. As well as handing over the Excellence Award in Cyber Security to H.E. Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government.

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti stressed the importance of cybersecurity and its impact on the generation due to their use of technology in various aspects of their lives, such as learning and entertainment, and the impact of cyber bullying on their mental health, in addition to the importance of dealing with these platforms and increasing awareness in an effective way to protect children and secure a safe digital future for them.

GISEC was launched in 2012 and has since evolved to become the most influential exhibition and conference in the field of cybersecurity and includes various activities and events on titles related to emerging digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, and its impact on cybersecurity, as well as future directions in the field of cybersecurity.
