The Digital Readiness Retreat for UAE government leaders, organized by the Higher Committee for Government Digital Transformation

The Higher Committee for Government Digital Transformation organized a digital readiness retreat for the leaders of the United Arab Emirates government, with the participation of over 250 government officials from 50 federal ministries and entities. During this retreat, the most important initiatives that contribute to enhancing the readiness and digital competitiveness of the UAE government were discussed, and government entities presented their latest projects in the field of digital integration and collaboration, as well as reviewing global trends in digital transformation. This event provides an opportunity for exchanging experiences and knowledge among government entities and communicating about the best practices and strategies in the field of digital transformation.

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the Cyber Security Council for the UAE Government, said: "We have a strong infrastructure and integrated teams to defend against cyber-attacks. We are also moving towards modern technologies such as blockchain, ChatGPT, and others. Digital transformation has a significant impact on various aspects of life, and it is important that this transformation is secure and in accordance with policies and practical procedures to prevent any threats that may affect national security."

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti also stressed the importance of increasing the culture of cybersecurity at various levels, enhancing knowledge in dealing with these modern technologies, protecting vital sectors and important data in the UAE, and complying with cybersecurity standards approved by the Council of Ministers.

Minister of State for Government Development and the Future in the United Arab Emirates, and Chairperson of the Higher Committee for Government Digital Transformation, explained: "The digital readiness retreat for the leaders of the UAE government emphasizes the importance of digital integration and connectivity among federal entities to achieve qualitative leaps in government digital transformation, and to develop the digital system for government services and operations, as well as digital alignment between projects and digital systems."

The aim of the digital readiness retreat was to enhance digital integration and collaboration among federal entities, highlight leading government digital models, review the most significant digital projects at the level of the UAE government, and promote the country's status as a global hub for digital government services. Additionally, this event provided an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities available for developing digital readiness in various fields. A showcase of several government digital initiatives and projects was also held, which provided an ideal platform for communication and exchange of ideas and experiences among officials from federal entities.
