UAE Cyber Security Council signs agreements to enhance international cooperation in the field of information security at GISEC 2023

The GISEC Global 2023 concluded today in Dubai, which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from March 14-16. During the three-day event, the Cyber Security Council of the United Arab Emirates government signed several cooperation agreements with various international organizations that working in the information security field. This comes as part of the council's efforts to enhance international cooperation in the field of cyber security and combat cybercrime.

The council signed a cooperation agreement with the Republic of Azerbaijan to enhance international cooperation in the field of cyber security and exchange information and experiences to achieve integration around cyber security challenges and mechanisms for responding to information security incidents, in order to enhance safety and security and cyber security capabilities. The council also signed a cooperation agreement with the Republic of Hungary to secure vital infrastructure for the state and vital companies, address any threats and challenges, and enhance the development of innovative solutions.

Additionally, the council signed a cooperation agreement with the ISC2 to enhance cooperation in the field of information security, privacy protection, data security, and digital safety, to provide training opportunities and professional development initiatives for facing information security challenges, and to share knowledge and experiences through educational and training programs. The council also signed a cooperation agreement with the Emirates Safer Internet Society (eSafe), which falls under efforts to activate further cooperation between the parties to establish a secure cyber security infrastructure in the UAE.

In line with the council's efforts to enhance international cooperation, the council signed a cooperation agreement with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) aimed at enhancing efforts to provide cyber protection against various potential cyberattacks, in line with the visions and general objectives of the Cyber Security Council to deal with advanced threats in collaboration with various national bodies and partners at the international level.

Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of the Cyber Security Council of the United Arab Emirates government, expressed his pleasure with the agreements signed, which constitute another step towards achieving a safe cyber environment. He emphasized the importance of these agreements in enhancing international cooperation and strengthening the capabilities of countries in the field of cyber security and exchanging and enhancing experiences. He also noted that these agreements come as part of the UAE's relentless efforts to contribute to providing safety and security in the country.
